Some people ask why our Fall line isn't as much "Fall Y'all" as some would expect. And while we will release more "holiday" and "seasonal" designs likely in November, this line was more inspired by the season in fashion and used the colors I personally think of when someone says "Fall". I don't want you to put away and store the shirt once the season is over, I want it to be great for year-round and constant reminders of how much God loves you and His children. I believe love for fashion and our faith can meet and blend in a beautiful way when we let it.
So I decided to put a little "behind-the-designs" together to share where each of these tees were inspired from. As a creator, I find inspiration everywhere- from what I am learning in His Word, from worshiping each morning, from prayer and from the world around me. The world around me is a little crazier than I'm used to, and instead of letting it weigh on me, I let it direct my energy into something that people can (hopefully) enjoy.
Amen
This tee has quickly become a best seller and I gotta say I am not mad about it or surprised. I probably spent too long putting these floral elements in an arrangement just perfect and the distressed letters just speak to me. A more simple tee, but when I designed it I wanted to remind people of that confirmation you feel when you end a prayer with "Amen" or someone speaks such truth to you that your only response is AMEN! It's a spiritual word and it came from a very spiritual place.
Rise Together
This was one for everyone. Originally I designed "We rise by lifting others" but it didn't feel right and I changed it to this. While yes, we do rise by lifting each other up, I love the idea of rising together as one body of Christ. Like I mentioned before, this world is different than we have ever seen it and we need now more than ever to hold hands and rise against the spiritual warfare that's happening all around us.
Beloved
I almost got the word "beloved" tattooed on my forearm a few years ago and last minute changed it to "come alive". But the word "beloved" has been a reminder since I was baptized that I am so loved by the One who created the flowers, the oceans, the wind, and everything around me that gives me life and peace. The floral element was exactly what I had pictured when I decided this would be one of the new tees. It's absolutely beautiful and fits the word perfectly, I think.
God of Peace
Is it cheesy that I will forever be lover of the peace sign? I think it's the 90s baby in me (okay, so I was born in 89 but I grew up a 90s girl, ya know?) but a peace sign is NEVER a no-go in pictures, especially group ones. Anyways, "peace" is something I have craved more this year than ever and I am so thankful that we have a God of Peace. Often when I am feeling the most restless, it's because I am forgetting this fact... that when I press into Him, stop, rest and patiently wait for the Lord, that is where peace is found. I pictured a rusty look and configured this color to reflect that, but I also wanted a teal which is where the rolled-muscle tank came into play... a look I absolutely love and this piece is perfect for layering this Fall.
Beauty For Ashes
I had a beauty for ashes design before, back when we also used vinyl in our designs (we are now solely sublimation ink and printing) but when I was designing for this collection, these words were going around in my head and I had to do it again. This one, though I wanted a very Fall color palette and feel and it came out just like I pictured. This is one of those verses that I repeat almost daily... a reminder that we are not our past, and God makes all things new.
"To grant to those who mourn in Zion— to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of a faint spirit; that they may be called oaks of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified." Isaiah 61:3
Pray All Day & Trust God and Be You
These two... oh man. If you haven't noticed I am a tad in love with all things rainbow and I specifically wanted rainbow lettering somewhere in this collection. I designed Pray All Day first but then felt the need for more. So I changed it to "trust God, be humble, stay kind, pray all day, love others, be you"... to me, these are things that truly make us more like Jesus. Once I had designed both, I couldn't decide which I loved more so I released both. I know these aren't for everyone, but I do hope they reach the "someone" that needs them.
Saved
So, this one is a design we have done before, but I couldn't pass it up on this olive for Fall. It's simple, but the fun font gives me all the retro and fun vibes and this tee is seriously perfect for layering, too. Just a reminder of what Jesus did for us and to stop trying so hard to meet any ridiculous standard we set for ourselves.
Holy, Holy, Holy
And finally, the first one I designed for the Fall collection. I think this one is the perfect transition tee from Summer to Fall. The colors are great for both seasons and this tee is lightweight and amazing to layer. While we may not feel Holy on a daily basis, we serve a God that is and has graced us with holiness through Him. What a beautiful gift it is.
There's a look at the Fall line and the "why" behind it all. I know we all love a good seasonal, punny or holiday tee and I will definitely be releasing a few just like years past, but this collection was all about the vibes the season of Fall gives me. I truly hope you love it. You can shop the collection here or on Etsy!
And a big, huge thank you to the local reps that helped with this Fall shoot, and my amazing friend Heidi for snapping and editing these wonderful photos. Here's a few more from the night that we sweat our butts off in 100*+ weather shooting for Fall vibes... I love you girls and appreciate you more than I can ever say.
As always, thank you for stopping by and taking the time to like, love, share, wear this creator's heart. A million times thank you.
